1. Preparing the soil

Before you start sowing, you need to ensure that you have prepared your soil.

Healthy soil can support your seedlings germination and development, resulting in a thick and lush lawn.

Here are the steps you should take to ensure it is an environment that will help your seedlings thrive:

1. Clear the soil of any debris, weeds, and stones
2. Loosen the top 2-3 inches of soil, using a rake for optimal seed-to-soil contact
3. If soil is compacted, you may need to aerate your lawn before sowing seeds
4. If you are creating a new lawn, make sure the soil is firm and even before sowing

2. Sowing Lush & Luxe Grass Seed

When it comes to sowing grass seed, timing and technique are crucial to achieving a vibrant lawn.

Ideally, you want to be sowing your grass seeds in spring or early autumn, as these seasons offer warm soil temperatures and adequate moisture, promoting optimal seed germination.

• Keep it even. To achieve a full and lush lawn, ensure that the seeds are sown evenly across the soil. You can use a broadcast or drop spreader to help with dispersing seeds uniformly
• For the larger lawns. If you have a larger lawn, you may find it easier to divide and conquer by splitting it into smaller sections to distribute your seedlings
• Lightly rake. Once your seeds have been sown, you should lightly rake across the soil surface to cover them. Ideally, you want to cover them with no more than ¼ of soil
• Avoid over-raking. Too much raking can bury the seeds too deep and hinder their germination
• Gently water. Throughout germination (typically 10-14 days), you should aim to keep the soil moist by watering lightly
